1. Families can learn new skills and bond through new adventures. Examples of Cub Scout activities include camping in the wilderness, helping others through community service, and visiting new places on field trips.
2. Through Cub Scouts, youth have a chance to develop character and esteem with the leadership of role models in the community.
3. Adults can volunteer to teach skills and help with scouting adventures, thus providing a valuable role in the community.
4. After Cub Scouts, pre-teens and teens can progress to the higher ranks of Scouting. This allows youth to build on their skills and interests, as well as develop friendships over many years.
